Beer Bread Recipe
An easy classic go to, every now and then I get a craving for beer bread and honey butter, and this recipe is so easy to duplicate perfectly. Now that I can buy my own beer I can experiment with different flavors, and honestly, I just really like making bread…any kind.
Ingredients
3 cups flour (sifted)
3 teaspoons baking powder (omit if using Self-Rising Flour)
1 teaspoon salt (omit if using Self-Rising Flour)
1⁄4 cup sugar
1 (12 ounce) can of beer*
1⁄2 cup melted butter (1/4 cup will do just fine)
* a honey flavor has been my favorite :)
Directions
Step One:
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Then prepare your pan by coating it with some kind of butter (what I prefer to use) or nonstick cooking spray.
Step Two:
Sift your flour, then mix all dry ingredients and beer together. Pour into your greased loaf pan.
Step Three:
Pour melted butter over mixture once in the pan. Bake for 1 hour.
Step Four:
Remove from pan and cool for at least 15 minutes.
